We are delighted to announce that two of our team members have been shortlisted for the 2024 Inspiring Women in Construction and Engineering Awards, which are run by Construction News and New Civil Engineer.

Once again, Val Clarke, Operations Director at 4PS, has been shortlisted as an “Inspirational Leader.” This category is aimed at women in leadership positions who have used their positions to inspire and engage the workforce and improve customer and business outcomes.

In addition, we are excited to share that Greta Rusteikaite has been shortlisted in the “Unsung Hero” category. This category seeks to shine a deserving light on the remarkable contributions made by women occupying back-office roles. Often working diligently behind the scenes, these individuals play a pivotal role in steering and helping their organisations. This award is designed to honour those who consistently go above and beyond for their companies but are not often recognised.

The Inspiring Women in Construction and Engineering Awards recognise individuals, teams, companies, and initiatives that have contributed to making a construction or engineering firm and the industry a better place to work. The full shortlist can be viewed here.

Speaking about the shortlisting, Joanna Foster, Marketing Manager, said, “We’re really proud that Val has been shortlisted for this award! She’s always taking positive steps to ensure every 4PS employee, regardless of age, gender, or background, can reach their full potential and have a fulfilling career. Val’s management style perfectly embodies our core values at 4PS — she inspires the team to pursue their passions, keep learning, and innovate. That’s why we believe she’s such an inspirational leader and truly deserves this recognition!”

“We’re also really excited that Greta has been shortlisted! Since she joined 4PS, she’s made a huge impact. She was certified in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central in just six months, which demonstrates her skills and independence. She also works hard to boost our company culture and supports her colleagues as a mental health first aid. Plus, her efforts to make our office more sustainable are fantastic. Greta truly deserves this recognition!”

The winners will be announced at the Inspiring Women in Construction and Engineering Awards 2024 event on the evening of September 17th. Congratulations to Val, Greta, and all those shortlisted; we look forward to hearing about the winners later in the year!
