4PS UK achieves Cyber Essentials Certification
4PS UK, the end-to-end software solution provider for the construction industry, has recently been awarded Cyber Essentials Certification, demonstrating a commitment to information and data security across the organisation.
4PS UK is pleased to announce that after a successful examination process by an external assessor, it has recently been awarded Cyber Essentials Certification.
With over 80% of UK businesses vulnerable to avoidable security threats, the Cyber Essentials framework has been designed as a strong security baseline for every business in every industry. It helps guard your organisation against the most common cyber threats such as phishing, malware, ransomware, password guessing and network attacks and demonstrates a high level of commitment to cyber security.
Val Clarke, General Manager of 4PS UK said: “At 4PS we take the security of our systems and the data we hold very seriously. Cyber Essentials provides both us and our customers with the assurance that we are committed to keeping this information and data secure across our organisation, with robust measures in place to protect us from common online attacks. Thank you to all the team who have worked hard to achieve this certification.”
What does Cyber Essentials Certification mean for 4PS?
4PS’ network of laptops, desktops, mobile devices, firewalls, and access points have been assessed to confirm that they have the latest security patches applied and are fully supported by the vendor for emergency patches. It also confirms that 4PS retires devices from its network when they no longer meet this standard, reducing the potential of DDOS attacks and data breaches.
4PS maintains strict control of applications installed on user machines and the passwords used to access them, further reducing any exposure to its own or customer data.
Finally, through achieving Cyber Essentials certification 4PS has been able to provide evidence and demonstrate the serious approach it takes to cyber security.
