4PS Customer Day 2024: Were You There?

Wednesday, 25 September, was the day; after months of preparation, it was time for the annual 4PS Customer Day. An event we look forward to every year with great excitement. This year, we welcomed familiar and new customers from home and abroad for a fun afternoon full of knowledge-sharing, inspiration and valuable connections.

Welcome to the greenest event location in the Netherlands

Just like last year, we descended on the sustainable event location Inspyrium, located among the trees of Nursery Ebben. A beautiful location – even in threatening autumn weather – to discuss innovation and digitalisation in the construction sector with customers and associates. It was special this year as, for the first year, we combined customers, colleagues and partners from the Netherlands, Germany, Sweden, the UK and Belgium! And, of course, speakers from Hilti, Fieldwire and Microsoft who also travelled to the Netherlands for this 4PS Customer Day.

A look at the future of 4PS

4PS Management Johan Bakker, Luurt van der Ploeg and Paula Middelkoop kicked off the day with the welcome address. They told attendees more about the position of 4PS and 4PS Construct within the Hilti Group and elaborated on the growth of 4PS in Europe. The transition to 4PS Construct in the cloud and the importance of the Microsoft platform as the basis for our future-proof software were also discussed. Paula then showed a brief sneak peek of Microsoft Copilot’s AI capabilities in Business Central.

The 4PS development roadmap highlighted

Afterwards, Willem Bekkers, Jan Paul Zeeman and Paula took attendees through 4PS’ development roadmap. They talked about new and optimised reporting possibilities in 4PS Construct, the added value of Copilot in combination with the Microsoft Power Platform and solutions to raise communication and cooperation with chain partners to a higher level. They also briefly introduced the audience to Hilti ON!Track and Fieldwire and explained the integration possibilities with 4PS Construct.

Hilti and Microsoft share valuable insights

After the keynote on 4PS’ development roadmap, it was the turn of Dmitry Chadayev and Vincent Nicolas from Microsoft. They travelled down from Copenhagen to take us through developments within the Business Central platform. Using practical examples, they showed how Business Central helps companies worldwide optimise their business processes. Not surprisingly, artificial intelligence and AI assistant Microsoft Copilot were important topics here too! Exciting and interesting developments that we like to follow closely.

As the next speaker, we welcomed Thomas Hillbrand, a member of the Executive Board of the Hilti Group, to the stage. In his keynote, Thomas elaborated on Hilti’s vision of digitalisation in construction. He explained why Hilti started with a software pillar and why technology and digitalisation are crucial to respond to key trends and challenges in construction. With Hilti Construction Software, Hilti can support companies in construction with challenges, such as sustainability, safety, the global workforce shortage, and the increasing complexity of projects in the construction industry.

Break-out sessions & information market

Time for the break-outs! Participants could compile their own programme with two break-out sessions of their choice. Topics included productivity, user experience, performance and the Business Central platform. However, customers could also learn about two other Hilti software solutions within Hilti Construction Software: ON!Track and Fieldwire.

During the breaks, the information and partner market offered the opportunity to network with industry peers, learn more about our partners’ solutions or ask questions of 4PS experts at the Meet the Experts plaza.

Networking and catching up

After the final break-out session, we closed the day with drinks. Unfortunately, not on the roof terrace due to the changeable weather, but in Inspyrium’s attractively decorated central hall. While enjoying snacks and drinks, attendees could chat, visit the information market and make new contacts. It was a valuable day full of inspiration, knowledge sharing, and fun.
